EUPV is a political and social movement organized as a politically and legally sovereign organization with a Valencian territorial scope. The sovereignty of EUPV lies in the Assembly of the Valencian Country, where representatives of the entire membership participate and make decisions on equal terms. EUPV assemblies at all levels ensure that individuals or groups interested in developing a transformative left are able to participate in their debates.

The objective of the United Left of the Valencian Country is the transformation of society, the end of capitalism as a system that generates inequality and exploitation of human beings, and the construction of a democratic socialist system based on the principles of equality, collective ownership of the means of production, distribution, exchange and financing, and solidarity among people and peoples, in which the full realization of all human, social, and environmental rights is possible. This objective is defined for the Spanish state as a federal socialist republic.

EUPV continues the tradition of the labor movement and the united experiences of communists, socialists, and other progressive forces in the anti-fascist struggle, updated with new emancipatory feminist, environmentalist, pacifist, and socialist movements of the 21st century, all of which form part of the historical, cultural, and ideological heritage of the transformative left.

Due to its organizational nature, EUPV does not aim to function as a classic political party, but as a political and social movement characterized by plurality, participatory democracy, collective development, and openness to social movements and citizens in general. Consequently, cooperation with other groups and individuals takes place through programmatic agreement, with a focus on enabling representatives of these forces or independent individuals to join its electoral lists under the EUPV acronym.
